A Russian drone destroyed the house of a fallen defender, leaving his wife and 5-year-old daughter Nicole without a home.
The girl's father – Stanyslav Tsakmalov – served in a volunteer territorial defense unit. He was killed on May 23 in Sumy during a funeral procession when Russian drones attacked the convoy.
Just 2 days after his death, Nicole refused to stay in the house. She became deeply frightened and kept asking to leave. The family did leave – and it saved their lives.
